The Kargah Buddha is a rock-carved Buddha that was created during the time of the Gandhara civilization in the 7th century CE. This statue is located on a cliff. You can spend a good time here enjoying the beautiful views of the surrounding high mountains and the beautiful river. Then you can visit Gilgit fort which is on a hill . This Fort was built in the 8th century and here you can learn a lot about the history and culture of the region.
You are going to spend 3rd day exploring the Nagar Valley and Hunza Valley.
You can visit Upper Hunza Valley on day 4 which is 120 km away from Gilgit city. Hunza Valley is known for its beautiful scenery and it is home to several beautiful historical sites and beautiful villages. Here you can also visit Alit fort and Baltit Fort which is a beautiful historical site located in Hunza Valley
On the 5th day, you can depart from Gilgit and return to Naran.
From Naran you will travel through the scenic Kaghan Valley down to Balakot, Manshera and back to Islamabad/Peshawar/Lahore.
